Welcome to Paradise Resort and thank you for choosing to stay at Australia’s favourite family resort. The following information will answer most queries about your stay with us. If you have booked online, a copy of this information is being emailed with your booking confirmation. You may find it useful to print a copy of this page if you have booked by other methods.

How to get here

BY CAR:

If traveling south bound on the Pacific Hwy take Smith Street Exit #66 and follow through approx 8km to the Broadwater. At the 'T' intersection with traffic lights turn right into Marine Pde. Travel south, past Australia Fair at Southport, across the Sundale Bridge heading towards Surfers Paradise. Stay in the left hand lane. After the bridge, turn left at the third set of traffic lights. Continue along Gold Coast Hwy south bound staying in the right hand lane. Turn right at the traffic lights into Cypress Ave, continue along until next set of traffic lights. Turn right again onto Gold Coast Hwy north bound, continue along Hwy 600m and Paradise Resort Gold Coast is located on the left hand side.

If traveling north bound on the Gold Coast Highway, as you approach Surfers Paradise the Gold Coast Highway changes name to Ferny Ave. Continue north (suggest left lane) following Ferny Ave through Surfers Paradise. You will pass the Mobil service station on the left hand side and two blocks further north you will see Paradise Resort Gold Coast located on the left hand side immediately after Norfolk Avenue.

FROM THE AIRPORT:

Transfer options from either Coolangatta or Brisbane Airports include taxis and coaches. Drive time by car from Coolangatta is 40-50minutes, and from Brisbane is 1¼ hours, however coach transfer times vary depending on the number of passenger drop offs.

Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport - Coaches meet every flight.

Brisbane Airport - Coaches depart approx. every 60 mins between 6.15 am and 10.30 pm. Airtrain (train service) runs from Brisbane airport to the Gold Coast.

A public transport bus stop is located on Ferny Avenue in front of the resort (Surfside Buses)

Check in/out time

Check in time is from 2pm. Check out time is by 11am. Our Reception is open 24 hours a day. You are welcome to use the facilities prior to check in time and on the day of check out. Zone 4 Kids can be used on the morning you check out by booking at the kiosk the evening prior.

Car Parking

Ample free car parking is available in the streets surrounding the resort. Some undercover car parking is available underneath the resort however spaces are limited and not guaranteed. Height of the car park is 2.10 metres.

Location

The Gold Coast is Australia’s premier holiday destination famous for its beaches, theme parks, nightlife, shopping, hinterland and subtropical climate which has attracted both Australian and international visitors for many years. The Gold Coast is located in southeast Queensland just one hour south of Brisbane and is easily accessible with two international airport gateways. Paradise Resort is located just minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise, an easy 10 minute stroll to popular Cavill Avenue, where restaurants, café’s and shopping abound, and just 5 minutes walk (500 metres) to the Surf beach.

Room info and hire items

All bedlinen and towels are provided during your stay. Rooms are serviced daily by our Housekeeping Department.

Coin operated laundry facilities are located in the lower level of the resort. Washing/drying cost is $4 per load. Our Resort rooms and Resort Interconnecting rooms are hotel style, with tea and coffee making facilities, irons and boards. The Resort Family rooms, Junior Bunkhouse, and King rooms do offer a microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery. If you are not staying in these room types, you can arrange to hire microwaves or bottle warmers from our Discovery Desk on arrival. Other items below are also available to make your load a little lighter when travelling. All hire items can be collected from the Discovery Desk on arrival at the resort.

Zone 4 Kids

Extended evening sessions are available for 5-12 year olds only on Friday and Saturday evenings until 10.30pm. If you wish to use Zone 4 Kids on the day you arrive, please book at the booking kiosk located in the resort lobby as soon as possible after arriving. If you are arriving after the booking cut off time (3pm for evening session) please telephone Zone 4 Kids on 07-5579 4420 before 3pm on the day you are arriving, to make a telephone booking. Telephone bookings will only be accepted if you are not arriving until after the booking cut of time of 3pm.

Food and Beverage shopping

Splashes Mini Mart has a range of basic food supplies including snacks, cereals, bread and milk, baby goods as well as alcohol. Splashes is open daily. Supermarkets are located within 10 minutes walk from the resort.

Dining

Sinbad’s Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner daily. GD’s Express café is open from early morning until evening for all day takeaway dining. Bernie’s poolside BBQ is available Saturday nights, weather permitting.

ATM

An ATM is located in the resort lobby for your convenience. Currency exchange is available at reception.

Internet

Internet Kiosks ($2 per 15 minutes) are available in the resort lobby. Wireless access is available in most public areas of the resort at a charge.

Samedawa Day Spa

The spa is located in room 1244. Massage and other treatments may be pre-booked by phoning 0411 277 850, or book upon arrival by calling extension 1244.

Our Discovery Desk team are happy to help with bookings for transfers, theme park tickets and tours. If you wish to pre book, please complete the booking request form.
